This is a small collection from my ‘colour splash’ portfolio. Colour splash is an effect which can be achieved through digital editing using software such as Photoshop. To achieve the desired effect, I have taken a regular (colour) photograph and then using Photoshop, I have layered it with a black and white version of that same photo. I have then manually ‘erased’ the desired object in the black and white photo to reveal the bottom (coloured) layer from the original. Depending on the imagery of an individual photo, this can be a very laborious task which requires a lot of time, concentration and attention to detail to achieve a flawless result.
